 The Arthurian Legend Once there was a legend full of magic and betrayal. After young Arthur began to reign he was given a magical and powerful sword named Excalibur by the Lady of the Lake. The greatest wizard of all times, Merlin was enchanted by power of a different kind. He gave away his deepest secrets and taught the Lady his magic. He, who received visions and held so much power, did not see his own life lying in her hand. She, who hated his desire and loathed his touch, became so strong to entrap him in a magic tomb, where he slowly faded away... But the bards got it all wrong. The Lady of the Lake did not hate Merlin, she loved his magic and his power. The ways of magic and nature were never understood by kings and people. Merlin hated to tutor and advise young Arthur on his way to the throne. In the end Merlin and the Lady of the Lake joined their power and magic. Misfortune and dark times would follow their union. The Lady stabbed Arthur to death with the legendary sword Excalibur.
